“I think it’s very difficult during the holidays to stay motivated to eat healthy and to be active. I think a lot of that has to do with, obviously, the parties and the food. But I also think that the weather can cause people to get a little bit down during this time of year,” group fitness coordinator Kimberly DowDell said.
South Jordan officials celebrated the grand opening of 4800 West and approximately 9600 South with a ribbon-cutting on Monday, Nov. 17.
Raelyn Webster is a South Jordan resident who enjoys making elaborate Christmas-themed sculptures out of candy almost as much as she enjoys eating it.
“Those guys made the difference in the outcome of this patient,” she said. “We are proud to be partners with such a great fire department and incredible paramedics.”
“We started to explain how the money that they raised when they auction off these trees and things helped the kids at the hospital. That’s when she said, ‘I think we should do a tree. I think we need to help all those sick kids out there.’

“FCCLA is the only student-led organization that focuses on family and the community and even breaks down to the individual,” adviser Aubrey Turnbow said. “We have a place for everyone where they can create, plan, budget and organize activities and service, and those skills can be helpful to them when they apply for college and scholarships.”
“How you face adversity is the measure of who you are,” was the message Bingham High volleyball coach Melissa Glasker delivered to her team following its shocking four-set quarterfinal loss to Lehi in the 5A state volleyball tournament Nov. 7.
“We had an outstanding response,” Holbrook said. “Over 94 percent of the results from residents are in favor of keeping Mulligan’s.”
