SOUTH JORDAN, UT (October 15, 2015) – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the United States, is celebrating the opening of the first Planet Fitness Club in South Jordan, UT with NBC’s The Biggest Loser® Season 15 contestant and Utah resident Hap Holmstead on Thursday, October 29. The new club is opening October 19 and is located at 11539 South 4000 West, in the Brand New Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace across from The District, next door to Sprouts Supermarket. Planet Fitness is hosting a celebration on October 29 at the South Jordan Club from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Hap. Originally from American Fork and now living in Pleasant Grove, Hap is available to talk about fitness tips and his experience on the show. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m., and Planet Fitness will have pizza and prizes for attendees every hour. Now through the Planet Fitness Grand Opening, new members can join the South Jordan club for just $1 down and then $10 a month with no commitment. Anyone that signs up for the $10 a month membership or $19.99 PF Black Card® membership on October 29 will also receive their first month free. Additionally, non-members will have the opportunity to work out at the South Jordan location for free on October 29. The new South Jordan Planet Fitness is approximately 22,000 square feet and offers state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds, and a Total Body Enhancement booth. The club will be open and staffed 24 hours, seven days a week.
