The center is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Transportation is available Monday through Friday for those who live in the area. Transportation is free; call the center for more information. Most activities require you to sign up in advance.
May 1, 4, 6, 11, 13, 15, 11 a.m.; Free. — Poetry Workshop. Come learn the basics of writing a poem. Come to all for a complete experience. During the last class those who would like may share their original pieces.
May 4, 9 a.m. — Payson Temple Open House Tour
May 8, 11 a.m. — Mother’s Day Tea. In honor of all our fabulous mothers, the center would love to serve you some delicious treats with some tea.
May 13, 11 a.m. — Support Group for Caregivers with Terra from Silverado Hospice
May 13, 12:30 p.m. — Bingo sponsored by Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
May 14, 11:30 a.m. — Utah Dance Artist will perform for a half an hour before lunch.
May 19, 12:30 p.m. — Book Club with Holly. This month’s read: “The Dovekeepers” by Alice Hoffman.
May 20, 11 a.m. — “Self-Esteem: How do I View Myself?” Presented by Rhonda from The Vital Aging Project.
May 20, 12:30 p.m. — Bingo sponsored by Silverado Hospice.
May 22, 11:30 a.m. — Memorial Day Luncheon. Come honor this day of remembrance with special guest speaker Gary Stearman, and enjoy a lovely lunch with old and new friends.
May 25 — Center Closed for Memorial Day
May 27, 11 a.m.; $10. — Pedicures with Dr. Shelton. Appointments needed.
May 27, 12:20 p.m. — Bingo sponsored by Sagewood at Daybreak
May 28, 11 a.m.; $18 — Red Hat Adventure to the Salt Lake City Bee’s Baseball game. Cost includes admission and a famous ball park hot dog, chips and your choice of soda. Reservation required by Thursday, May 14 for your spot on the center bus.
