It's no secret that South Jordan is a great place to live. Even national publications are noticing.

On Tuesday, USA Today published a list of the 50 best places to live in the United States, based on dozens of criteria gathered from the U.S. Census Bureau. South Jordan came in at the 46th spot, and was the only city in Utah to appear on the list.

The article points to South Jordan's strong economy as a big reason why so many people are wanting to settle in the city.

"The median annual household income in South Jordan of nearly $100,000 is well beyond the U.S. median of $57,652. The city also has a strong job market, with an unemployment rate of just 1.5%, less than half the overall U.S. unemployment rate," reads the article.

South Jordan was notable among the other cities on the list for having one of the higher populations at around 65,000. Only four other cities on the list have higher populations.

This comes a few months after Verizon named South Jordan the fourth best "small" city in the country to start a business.
