In anticipation of the Salt Lake County Council ratifying the proposed Olympia Hills development in the southwest corner of the valley, the group Utah for Responsible Growth is organizing a signature-gathering effort in order to force a referendum. To kick off the campaign the group is hosting a press conference and rally on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Mountain Ridge High School in Herriman.

A press release sent out by the group says that "local elected officials and residents will
discuss the reasons, details, organizational efforts, and plans." It also goes on to say there will be a "surprise announcement."
