Eastlake Elementary held a Lunar New Year assembly with a guest performance of traditional Chinese yo-yo tricks by Su Mama Chinese Club from Taiwan. The annual assembly featured dual immersion Chinese students with each grade level giving a performance: 1st, “Gong Xi gong Xi” and “Happy Chinese New Year;” 2nd, “Health Song;" 3rd, “Chinese Zodiac Song;” 4th, “TFBOYS” and “Manual of Youth;” 5th, "Lemon Tree;" and 6th performed the lion and dragon dance as well as the Chinese New Year pop song, "New Year is Suddenly Here.” (Julie Slama/City Journals)
